Monitor Discussion Groups

Discussion Groups have been held in our Reading Room on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, at 1:30 p.m.  Discussions are for one hour, followed by refreshments.  A current article is selected for each discussion.
A discussion was held Thursday evening July 27, on “The Reparations Movement:  What it is and what is isn’t.”  Other discussion groups are discontinued for the summer, to be resumed in September 2023.
Our Reading Room is located at 2436 Pacific Coast Highway, Suite 105, Newport Beach.  Parking is available behind the building, next to the Municipal Parking Lot on the inland side of PCH.  Enter by turning onto Tustin Avenue, then turn right at Avon into the parking area.

Easter Talk - Feeling Genuine Joy in Difficult Times

Third Church of Christ, Scientist, New York City is sharing an Easter Talk by Christie Hanzlik, “Feeling Genuine Joy in Difficult Times,” on Good Friday April 7 at 4:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. A musical program begins 15 minutes before the talk.

The talk focuses on finding comfort and assurance in what may feel like difficult times, explores ways to pray and to understand more about the rock of Truth that provides a sure foundation when most needed.
Christie Hanzlik, CS, will speak on Good Friday, April 7th, at 4:30 PM Pacific Time, with her talk, “Finding Genuine Joy in Difficult Times”. The program will begin with music at 4:15 PM by Matthew Hammond and Davya Flaharty with the group LOVE ONLY GROWS.
